For those interested in coaching in the Newberg Youth Football program for the 2024 season, please have all Newberg Youth Football coaching applications turned in by August 1. Link below:

All Newberg Youth Football tackle football coaches must complete the items listed below:

USA Football - Tackle Football Level 1 Certification

Background Check

First Aid/CPR Certification

All coaches from each team need to be First Aid and CPR Certified. This certification is typically good for 2 years. Already First Aid/CPR certified? Provide a copy of current certification to Nicole Lewelling. Not certified and are interested in getting certified? Several different websites offer a 2-year certification:

Please download the TVYFL App from the app store! Sign up to receive TVYFL season info through the app and register as a coach.

Safety Coach Requirements

Must complete concussion training

  - Training takes 15-20 minutes. Once there, scroll to the bottom of the page and click on crash course concussion training(coach) link and go through the process of registration.
  - Once training/testing is complete, print out certificate and email to Newberg Youth Football Registrar Nicole Lewelling at newbergregistrar@gmail.com (certs are placed in team books).
  - Head Coaches and Assistants do not need to complete concussion testing because Brain 101 course is part of USA Heads Up Football certification and/or re-certification.
