In addition to having two teams make the championship and one clinch the title, as well as two coaches receive the Wellnetz award, Newberg Youth Football also had several players make the Oregon All Star team. NYF had 1 8th grader selected to the 8th grade Oregon all star team and 4 players selected to the 7th grade Oregon all star team.

The Oregon all star team was part of a 40 team all star play off started by FBU (Football University). The Oregon teams were made up of 35 players from accross the TVYFL, and coached by the coaches of TVYFL. Newberg had two coaches on the 7th grade All Star Staff, Coach Friedrich and Coach DeLashmutt.

The young men select from Newberg were, 8th grade- Chase Pothier. 7th grade - Anthony Adams, Zac DeLashmutt, Scott Friedrich and Jacob LaPointe.

The teams practiced at West Linn and Lincoln High School in downtown Portland. The 7th grade All Star game was played against the Washington All Stars at East Side Catholic in Bellevue/Sammamish Washington on Nov 26. The Oregon team did well and won the game 31 - 6. The second game against a Califorina team ended up being cancelled, but it was a great experience and exposure for NYF. The 8th grade team made it to Texas and was one game away from playing in the Champoinship game. You can find more information about FBU by clicking here
